Books that changed my life!
Dear PDC Community:
How are you spending your downtime, when you have free time at your disposal?
What are you reading?
How are you staying relevant with the latest trends, technology, continuing education, etc.?
While we spend the majority of our day either at work, or in business we should all seek to include a period where we learn something new everyday. Most persons I come into contact with usually come up with some lame excuses as for why they're not fueling their brain power with knowledge. The world we live in today allows us to engage books at our leisure, albeit we may not have time to sit down and read a hardback book, we can use audible books which can play while we’re sitting in traffic, or exercising. But the key is to commit yourself to a regimen.
Recently, I joined a book club with 5 like-minded associates, where we collectively choose a book, read it, then discuss the contents of the book. This adds an additional layer of accountability to your routine, almost like having a gym partner or a personal trainer.
I’d like to leave you with a few books that have shaped and moulded my Entrepreneurial journey for the past 5 years. They are as follows:
The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson
F.U Money by Dan Lok
48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
The Outsiders by William Thorndike
The Law of Divine Compensation by Marianne Williamson
The Power of Nice Linda Kaplan Thaler, Robin Koval
Again, these are my personal favorites- feel free to read during your leisure time.
Lastly, next week we will have some very exciting news for you all about our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives which we will be rolling out during the month of August, please stay tuned.
Until next week Tuesday!
Thank you for remaining engaged and subscribed, we thank you for being apart of our entrepreneurial community.
Sincerely,
Peter D. Cartwright
